Posted: May 15, 2022Conservation of Anglo-Saxon objects discovered by a metal detectorist and donated to the Bucks County Museum. Amongst the finds were a copper alloy vessel and sword. -
Latticinio Vase
Posted: May 12, 2022A 20th century Venetian glass vase in the shape of an amphora with intricate latticinio cane work and encased gold leaf. The vase was broken at the base and could not be displayed without treatment. -

Fruit Tray
Posted: May 10, 2022An exceptional 18th century Chinese enamelled copperware Fruit Tray painted with vibrant motifs of exotic fruit and flowers. The tray was damaged when the mounting system failed, causing surface loss and distortion. -
Punch Bowl
Posted: May 10, 2022A 19th century Cantonese porcelain bowl decorated with colourful overglaze enamels and gilding. This punch bowl is a treasured family heirloom passed down through four generations from Captain William Stuart of the merchant clippers Tweed and Loch Etive. -
Seal Gut Parka
Posted: April 29, 2022Conservation of a Arctic seal gut parka for the Mayflower exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum. The parka was cleaned, reshaped and damaged areas were supported with removable fills. A lightweight mount from Fosshape™ was also produced to better support the delicate object. -

Daylesford Church painted iron transept screens
Posted: February 20, 2022Initial cleaning and consolidation trials to the original 19th century paint scheme to the iron transept screens at St Peter's Church, Dayleford, near Stow-on-the-Wold. Second phase was to carry out the cleaning and consolidation works for the client as part of a programme of renovation works to the church building. -
Swansea Holland & Barrett Victoria tavern lantern
Posted: February 20, 2022The restoration of a Victorian tavern lantern as part of renovation works to the historic building it was fitted to in the centre of Swansea. The iron frame had corroded significantly and many of the glass panes were cracked and broken. The latter were repaired or replaced after careful removal.
