H.M.S Victory Fore Top-sail
Surface cleaning and documentation of the fore top-sail from H.M.S Victory took place over a two week period in November 2024. Weighing half a ton and measuring 24 by 16 meters, the complexities of the project were in the moving and handling of such a large textile.

Each one meter square was surface cleaned with low powered vacuum suction and then documented recording areas of loss and staining. The information was then transferred onto a large diagram of the sail, producing a map of damage and staining.
