To remove layers of restoration of the surface of the concrete in order to treat underlying problems and restore the artists intended surface finish.

The Restoration of this concrete Judd Untitled was a collaboration lead by Tessa involving Catherine Croft, Andy Coxall, Jamine Fairchild (Thermotech) and Steve Honey.
The work carried out at Jackson Sculpture conservation is often collaborative in order to bring the people with the best skills for each part of a project together.
The restoration of this piece has been documented in Concrete – Case studies in conservation edited by Catherine Croft and Susan MacDonald and published by Getty publications.
