About Me
Trained as a Building Surveyor and with a particular interest in historic buildings, Tim Martin served an engineering conservation apprenticeship at the British Engineerium in Hove, under the guidance of Jonathan Minns. In the mid-1990s he founded Context Engineering (becoming a limited company in 2003) and has since worked across the UK for both public and private clients. Major clients include the National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces, English Heritage and London's Transport Museum. Although his specialism is as a metalwork conservator, Tim has built up a variety of practical skills that include working with wood, leather and rope. He is a CPD Reader and Mentor for Icon.
